The Queen’s Ancestors
How did the Saxe-Coburg dynasty end up on almost every European throne? This is the extraordinary story of Leopold, who initially set out to marry into the English royal family. When his wife died during childbirth he became a royal appendage, yet, ended up as the first ever King of Belgium. He also managed to set up his English niece with his German nephew: Victoria and Albert. Martin worked on this film as a researcher.
